Canvases by the Wall
An audio-visual painting installation where visitors draw with their hands and reshape the music by standing in front of it.
Where it began
Originating as the concluding event of the “Canvases by the Wall” painting collection at the Bab Art Platform in Qeshm Island, Iran, the project later evolved into the Silence Music Festival and the establishment of an art studio in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

The patch
The concept centers on creating an interactive audio-visual painting installation using TouchDesigner, blending visual art and sound to offer an immersive experience.
A living canvas
This project encourages the audience to engage with sound and visuals in real time. By standing in front of the camera, they trigger dynamic changes in the music, while their hand movements enable them to draw and manipulate visual elements.
This immersive experience transforms the artwork into a living canvas, where visitors become active participants in shaping the sonic and visual composition.
